Vienna, Austria — FISHCON GmbH, is pleased to announce the signing of a significant Cooperation Agreement with WHOOSHH INNOVATIONS INC., a prominent party in fish passage solutions. This collaboration marks a milestone in the effort to enhance connectivity and aquatic ecosystems by providing an innovative upstream and downstream fish passage system for low head dams. The agreement for the novel FISHCON Fish Lock extends the successful partnership between the two companies, building on a previous agreement which provides WHOOSHH the same rights within the United States.

Under the terms of the international Cooperation Agreement, FISHCON also grants WHOOSHH the exclusive rights to distribute and deploy its fish passage system in Canada and Sweden. This strategic alliance is a multi-year commitment of both companies to address the technically challenging problem of effective and sustainable upstream and downstream fish passage solutions all around the world.

The innovative fish passage system developed by FISHCON is designed to allow fish of all sizes and life stages to overcome obstacles posed by low head dams up to ~ seven (~7) meters, allowing both upstream and downstream fish migration and enhancing the health of the aquatic ecosystems. This proprietary system has proven to be effective in numerous low head dams in Austria and Germany, where FISHCON has already installed systems.
